About This Video

If you’re tired of hunting through endless buttons on your Stream Deck trying to remember what page controls what, this is exactly why I built a clean menu system in Bitfocus Companion 4.0. In this video I walk you through how pages work in Companion 4.0 (and what changed from the old 99-page limit), where to actually manage pages now, and how to rename, reorder, and navigate between them. Pages are about to become your best friend when you’re trying to get the most out of a single control surface without buying more hardware. Then I show my practical workflow for church and event setups: I delete the default nav buttons and build a simple “Main Menu” page with clear buttons like “Camera Control” and “ATEM Control,” plus a consistent “Menu” button on every page so you can always get back home. I also show how to display the current page name using a variable so operators can see where they are. Finally, I demo stacking multiple actions on one button (and why I set “Set to page” last), adding the new Internal “WAIT” delay in 4.0, and using button feedbacks so the operator gets visual confirmation. This is the kind of small organization that saves time and reduces mistakes during live services.
