About This Video

If you’re brand new to running graphics at church, this Graphics 101 video is me walking you through how I want new volunteers to think about ProPresenter—simple, organized, and confident. I start with a quick tour of the interface: your Playlist on the left (the whole service laid out in order) and your slides in the middle (everything you’ll click through for a song or segment). I show how we keep slides in linear order, why songs usually start with a blank slide, and how groups like intro/verse/chorus help you find your place fast. Then I get super practical about actually advancing lyrics. You can click with the mouse, use the space bar, or use the right/left arrow keys (and yes—avoid up/down arrows unless you want to jump playlist items). The “art” is timing: I try to advance within the last couple words so the congregation never gets stuck waiting on the next line. After that, I break down the five core service sections I see every week—pre-service loop + countdown, worship, announcements (static slides you click manually), offering/kids moment, and sermon slides—plus a bonus: videos are usually just a click. This is your first step, and we’ll keep building from here.
