About This Video

In this video I’m sharing 3 things I genuinely wish I knew before becoming a breathwork teacher—especially as someone who didn’t set out with a “plan” to do this and (controversial lol) doesn’t have a fancy piece of paper or official certification. I’ve been teaching for about five years now, and I’m experience certified in the truest way: by showing up, guiding sessions, learning through the work, and watching the before-and-after in myself and in my clients. If you’re curious about becoming a breathwork facilitator, this is the real-life, behind-the-scenes version. First, balance. When you’re holding space for other people all day, it’s easy to lose your own anchor if you’re not also prioritizing being on the receiving side of the practice. Second, breathwork is trendy right now, and that can feel inspiring and discouraging at the same time—especially when imposter syndrome pops up and you start comparing your voice to what’s “popular.” Third, teaching breathwork is so much more than breathwork when you’re a one-woman show, and it’s also one of the hardest practices to explain—so I’ve learned to stop trying to convince everyone and instead focus on the people who are ready. At the end of the day, it’s still the most rewarding work I’ve ever done.
