About This Video

This video is my solo birthday trip to Peru — three quick days that ended up being pure medicine. I start with my pre-travel chat (fresh-washed hair, wet hoodie vibes) and share why this trip felt different: I worked with a travel agent, Kira, and it put me in full receiver mode. I’m used to doing all the logistics (this was stamp #21 for me), but this time I really got to just show up, breathe, and let the Sacred Valley hold me. I also get honest about the mixed feelings of doing solo travel in my 30s — like, I’m grateful, but I’m also tired of the “independent solo girl” story and craving companionship and togetherness. In Peru, I stay in the mountains, do slow mornings with breathwork, meditation, journaling, and little ritual moments (like a bath and just listening to the air and the hummingbirds). I take you along local walks, vegan eats, souvenir wandering, and a big day to Machu Picchu where the altitude and rain humbled me — and I chose intuition over proving something. The trip closes with an incredible first sweat lodge in Pisac (truly a rebirth), a solar bath experience at Willka T’ika, and then the real-life travel plot twist: delays, Lima overnight, winter storm chaos back home, and me finally landing in Atlanta… with food poisoning. Still: everything worked out, and I left Peru feeling full, present, and reminded to surrender and let life unfold.
