I think it does indeed hype but not in a puch above its price way but instead as a redefinition of its price category.

About This Video

In this video I review the Ziigaat Nuo, a really interesting new budget IEM that comes in around $25 and uses a 10mm LCP dynamic driver. For the price, the whole package honestly slaps: the design looks great, the shells are super light, and it’s basically all-day comfortable. I also like that it uses a metal nozzle (instead of plastic), which should hold up better over time—especially if you ever drop it without tips on. Sound-wise, I’d call the Nuo slightly warm and smooth, with a treble that’s more rolled off and recessed compared to something like the 7Hz Zero 2. That warmer tilt makes male vocals sound fantastic, and it works really well for strings and acoustic instruments too. The big highlight is the bass: sub-bass punches hard and fast, with great texture and no bleed into the mids, which surprised me at this price. I compare it directly to the Zero 2, and if I’m only picking one for a wide variety of genres—EDM, pop, hip hop, rock, even classical—the Nuo is the more versatile listen for me. The Zero 2 can give you extra clarity and extension if you’re more into nuanced, lighter bass music, but the Nuo is just easy to sit back with and enjoy.
