In this video I’m reviewing the ThieAudio Hype 10 and putting it in context with the rest of the Hype series—mainly the Hype 2 and Hype 4—plus I touch on how it stacks up, philosophically and sonically, against higher-end sets like the Monarch MkIII. I also go over the usual stuff people actually care about: the standard ThieAudio packaging, the case, the cable system with swappable terminations, and the overall build/finish (which, honestly, is as good as any premium earphone I’ve used). The faceplate design on the Hype 10 is stunning in person, and the included white tips are surprisingly solid—though I still recommend my go-to AZLA XELASTEC tips. Sound-wise, the Hype 10 is a fantastic all-rounder: refined, engaging, and inviting. It’s got excellent sub-bass quantity right at that tipping point where it can satisfy bass-lovers without turning into a dedicated basshead IEM, and the transition into the mids is seamless—no bleed, no weird handoff. The mids are prominent and “in your face” in a good way, especially for vocals, and the treble stays smooth, detailed, and non-fatiguing with no harshness or sibilance. The big takeaway is value vs levels: the jump from Hype 4 to Hype 10 is smaller than from Hype 2 to Hype 4, but if you know your preferences and want that extra refinement, the Hype 10 earns its place.
