This one shocked me. It's daring and bold and not easy to pull off. The Kiwi Ears Quintet contains 5 drivers and 4 driver types in an attempt to create the best possible sound. We review and rate it. About This Video

In this video I review the Kiwi Ears Quintet, and honestly it gave me one of the most exciting “I’ve never heard this before” moments I’ve had with an IEM in a while. The whole “kitchen sink” idea is real here: 5 drivers using 4 different driver types (dynamic, balanced armature, piezoelectric, and planar) all crammed into a small shell. That kind of crossover and driver matching is genuinely hard to pull off, and Kiwi Ears somehow made it work cohesively. Sound-wise, I’m calling the Quintet a great all-rounder. It’s not automatically the best at pure detail/resolution versus something like the Tin HiFi P1, and it’s not a basshead set either, but it handles a wide range of genres really well. The highs are clear and crisp with good extension without getting harsh, the upper mids don’t go hot or screechy on vocals, and the bass transition is smooth with sub-bass slam when a track calls for it. Build-wise it’s basic for the money, the case is generic and crap, but comfort and fit are excellent—and the tuning is the real reason to buy it.
