Amazon: https://amzn.to/3QvIS5E Linsoul.com - https://tinyurl.com/Piccolo-Tripowin The Tripowin Piccolo is another earphone with an RRP of under $50, so to stand out in this ultra-competitive market, they had better come with something unique. Fortunately, I think the build quality and overall design of the affordable IEM will win over a lot of buyers. I think it does indeed hype but not in a puch above its price way but instead as a redefinition of its price category. CONTACT: BESaudioreview@gmail.com

About This Video

In this quick video I’m joining the under-$50 battle with the Tripowin Piccolo, a roughly $40 IEM that’s actually pretty interesting. It’s using an LCP (liquid crystal polymer) driver, and the first thing that hit me wasn’t even the tuning—it was the build. The shell has this ripple/sound-wave style pattern, a metal nozzle, full metal body, and even the little details like the bass vent make it feel way more expensive than it should at this price. Sound-wise, it’s very typical of what I’m hearing from a lot of these LCP driver sets in the $30–$70 range. I’d call it fairly neutral-balanced with good speed of attack, decent bass performance, and a midrange that’s clear and open. Treble is where it does really well for the money, but it’s not like it’s doing anything dramatically “better” than the other LCP options purely on sound. The real selling point here is the design, comfort, and that premium metal feel—plus it’s a detachable cable (even if the stock cable is pretty basic). I’ll be including it in my upcoming sub-$50 roundup.
