I think it does indeed hype but not in a puch above its price way but instead as a redefinition of its price category. The Dunu Stufio SA6 MK2 is a 6-balanced armature earphone with a striking design and a full accessory set. About This Video

In this video I review the Dunu Studio SA6 MK2 after using it for over a month as a main IEM, because I wanted to get this one right. I also talk about why balanced armature sets still matter, even with everyone chasing tribrids and planars. When BA is implemented properly, it can sound insanely natural, smooth, and just easy to live with—and Dunu has been doing “properly implemented” for a long time. I touch on Dunu’s history of innovation, their tuning philosophy, and why I think they’re one of the most unappreciated companies in audio. I break down the build, comfort, and accessories (the included cable is basically a slimmed-down Hulk with the interchangeable plug system, and it’s genuinely a standout). On sound, the SA6 MK2 is very similar to my beloved Kinera Skuld: smooth, engaging, natural, and non-offensive across genres. Bass is punchy and textured with zero mid bleed, mids are super smooth with a tiny hint of warmth, and treble is laid back—so treble heads should look elsewhere. I also cover the bass switch and why, to my ears, it’s almost undetectable and I’d rather stick with the stock tuning (or just EQ if you really want more).
