This video is my final, final exam vlog as a vet student, and I genuinely can’t believe I’m saying that. Exams start the next day, it’s randomly 28 degrees outside, and I’m trying (and kind of failing) to get back into study mode after not studying for about five months since I wrote my NAVLE. I set up a cute patio study space because if the sun is out, I’m at least going to try to romanticize the grind a little bit. I take you with me through writing one of my exams (118 questions, full three hours), and I talk about the reality of “open book” exams—because yes, it’s open book, but the platform made it so painful to actually use the book that it slowed me down so much. Then we get to the big moment: my last ever OSCEs (client communication, surgery, pharmacy). I’m studying prescriptions, practicing sutures, and feeling super nostalgic and honestly way more sad than I expected. I thought I’d just be excited to never write another exam again, but it finally hit me that vet school is ending. And then… we celebrate. This video is basically a love letter to the people who got me through vet school—the friends who started as practice group members and turned into my people for life. Bittersweet, emotional, and the most “we did it” kind of day.
