About This Video

I’m back cranking out videos, and in this one I break down the discount strategies I actually use to buy LEGO for reselling—without pretending everything is “wholesale.” First, I show you the reality: some sets just don’t get discounted. If you’re looking at certain hot items on Amazon or store shelves, sometimes the “strategy” is simply patience, because there’s nothing to stack when there’s no sale. Then we get into the real plays: exclusives and stacking. With Walmart exclusives, I treat 20% off as a straight-up win—give yourself a high five and move on—because those deals usually only show up around holiday weekends or Q4. Target can be even better if you know what you’re doing: Circle Card gets you an extra 5% on top of a 20% LEGO sale, and if you stack discounted Target gift cards, you can push past 25% pretty fast. Finally, I talk about buying other people’s inventory—where a lot of people mess up. My hard-and-fast rule: non-retired sets need to be 50% off for me to touch them, but retired sets? I’ll pay retail all day. This is about making it mutual, not doing someone a favor and calling it a deal.
