About This Video

Summer’s officially over (yeah, it ended on my 50th birthday), and I’m back. In this video I get into my 2025 holiday LEGO picks with a reseller lens: what I like, what I’m side-eyeing, and where I think LEGO is flat-out making it harder on resellers. I start with the Winter Village conversation and the rumored price hikes, then I pull up the new Holiday Express Train (10361). At 956 pieces and $130, I’m not pretending that’s “value” just because it’s holiday-themed—none of it is licensed, and it feels like we’re getting hit with price increases without getting 30% more set. I also break down why holiday trains have a real track record (I made a ton on the older Winter Village train by buying at a discount and letting the market do its thing). Then I talk Christmas trees—specifically why the new expensive “family Christmas tree decoration” could suppress the resale ceiling on the cheaper Christmas Tree (40573), which already showed it can flirt with that $100 range when supply dries up. I wrap with a few holiday staples I like: gingerbread builds, Duplo holiday sets that can surprise people on the secondary market, classic BrickHeadz (Mr. & Mrs. Claus), and my sleeper favorite 40642—because parents need activities during winter break, and once it finally goes out of stock, I think it can breathe and climb.
