About This Video

In this video I’m breaking down three LEGO Ideas sets that I think are absolutely ripe for profit once they retire—and I’m not talking about random $50 grabs that everyone and their cousin can stack. LEGO Ideas is one of the most beloved themes in the entire hobby, and there are literally collectors out there who only buy Ideas sets. That kind of built-in demand is exactly what I want in my inventory when a set goes EOL. First up is 21350 Jaws, and I can’t overstate this enough: the nostalgia factor is insane, and the higher entry point helps keep competition down. I also show why I like what I’m seeing on CamelCamelCamel—Q4 supply issues pushed it well above retail, and that’s a great sign. Then we’ve got 21341 Disney Hocus Pocus, a set I actually have built in my house and it looks amazing. It’s a “double tap” seasonal winner (Halloween plus Christmas shopping), and I don’t see LEGO remaking it anytime soon. Finally, I’m all-in on the Insect Collection—yes, the chart looks atrocious, and that’s exactly why I love it. I wrap with a wild card: 21343 Viking Village, where I’m on the fence because we might be getting flooded with medieval-adjacent sets.
