About This Video

In this cozy, rainy December walkthrough, I’m taking you through my indoor jungle for the final plant tour of 2025. It’s honestly been a year of ups and downs for me and the plants, but right now things are ending on a really good note—and it feels like a reflection of how I’m doing, too. I start in the bedroom with my Thanksgiving cactus (still holding onto some buds), then we get into the plant wall updates: moving things around for more light, watching my adansonii finally push healthier leaves, and enjoying the Hoya hush kana blooms that literally make my room smell like buttered popcorn at night. From there, I go shelf by shelf through my Vitru shelf and grow light setups—orchid blooms, carnivorous plants that I’m trying to pink up again, and a few plants that are recovering from pests. Aphids have been a recurring headache on my Hoyas (especially the polyura variegated), and I also talk through my ongoing “is it flat mites?” paranoia when Hoyas start acting weird. There are some wins, though: fast-rooting Hoya cuttings, a dragon scale throwing out huge new leaves, and a semi-hydro mikans setup that’s absolutely exploding with roots. It’s a real-life care routine tour—messy moments, progress, and all.
