In this cozy little day-in-my-planty-life vlog, I start out in full spring-is-coming mode and do a mini plant styling moment in my bedroom. I’m on a one-in one-out policy right now (I know… who am I), but I really wanted a statement, cascading plant for that shelf beside the bed—especially because it’s getting spoiled by my Soltech Aspect light. I ended up moving my outer variegated Hoya polyneura (plus the inner variegated because it’s cute together) and I’m hoping over the next couple months it’ll fill in and finally give me that dreamy trailing look. Then we go on a nursery outing together, and the vibes were so correct… but I walked out without a single plant, which honestly shocked me. I talk through a few plants I’m debating—like purple passion plant, oxalis for a north-facing bathroom window, and my forever hunt for a lemon lime trailing philodendron (they only had neon pothos, which isn’t quite the same for me). I also grab seed potatoes because garden season is creeping up, but I’m trying to take it in stride this year and not overload myself. The rest of the vlog is peak cozy: peppermint tea, my new “Friday hands-on” routine, and me attempting a 1,000-piece puzzle like an absolute menace. The next day I do a water-with-me using my electric watering device, mix fertilizer ratios for semi-hydro vs soil, admire a ridiculously juicy Hoya leaf, and pot up my begonia (after saving it with my Ziploc bag rehab method) in a self-watering planter—then we start talking curtains and home cozy upgrades.
