I’m taking you out with me on a rainy, gloomy errand day—because I want to do more videos where we actually get out of the house and mix things up a bit. I’m running around for a few practical things: craft scissors and construction paper for a Christmas decoration Patreon video (my old scissors were, truly, shite), plus paint supplies because I’m finally painting our bathroom. I also had a mystery package to pick up that I was pretty sure was going to be planty-related. We pop into Garden Works for a cozy little winter garden centre browse, and honestly…the vibes were very correct. It was decorated for Christmas, there was barely anyone there, and I got to slowly wander through poinsettias, orchids, hoyas, alocasias, begonias, carnivorous plants, and even the air plant section (I’m still trying to decide how I want to style them before I buy a bunch). I also talk about how wild it is that “collector” plants—like anthuriums and Thai constellations—are so much more accessible now price-wise. To finish the day, I open my Tropics Narcotics package and share a little planty clothing haul: hoodies, tees, and the cutest pins/stickers. It genuinely felt like Christmas came early over here.
