About This Video

In this cozy couch chat, I’m sipping an iced chai latte and doing something I only really do once a year (if that): a houseplant wishlist video. This isn’t me ā€œplant huntingā€ or trying to speed-run crossing things off a list—I’m genuinely super content with where my collection is at, and I’m trying not to let my plant count creep up. I just wanted a fun little space where we can drool over gorgeous plants together and admire them—sometimes from afar, and sometimes as a ā€œmaybe one dayā€ situation. I also talk about how I view my collection as flexible: plants will come, plants will go, and I’m totally okay letting something leave if it’s no longer bringing me joy (or if I find something I love more). Then I run through the wishlist: pendant-leaf anthuriums like anthurium wendlingeri, dainty trailing plants like variegated Dischidia million hearts, dream alocasias (longiloba purple and a jaclyn comeback), quirky cactus cuteness (tephrocactus geometricus), and a few philodendrons I’m absolutely thirsting after—like variegated golden dragon and philodendron corsinianum. I also share a few ā€œunicornā€ trailing picks (Huperzia, serrata) and why space, pests, and reversion risk are the real deciding factors for me.
