In this video I’m setting my growing goals for 2026, and I’m doing it the way my brain likes it: super specific. I used to pick a handful of “focus plants” each year and actually try to get them to a maturity level or vibe I’m proud of, and I haven’t done that in a couple years—so we’re bringing it back. I walk you through the exact plants I’m targeting, what’s currently going wrong (or right), and what I’m going to change so we can hopefully get some real glow ups by the end of the year. My big projects are my philodendron varicosum (I’m determined to finally grow it into a more mature, glorious-sized plant without chopping it back again), my monstera adansonii comeback (after a long mealybug saga), and my variegated silver sword browning/edema issue—which I’m planning to experiment with by watering adjustments, trying silica, and even testing a cutting in chunky soil instead of pon. I also share growth goals for my anthurium VGI “super narrow” and my baby anthurium warocqueanum, plus some fun blooms I’m manifesting: my phalaenopsis Bronze Maiden, my begonia lucerna, and my holiday cactus combo pot. To wrap up, I talk general goals like pest prevention (I want to get to showering + beneficials instead of always playing catch-up), improving my orchid care for real, and getting some stalled setups running again (begonia terrarium, brighter ping lighting).
