About This Video

In this cozy 1-hour clean-with-me, I’m tackling my disastrous plant shelves and cabinets—starting with my Milsbo tall cabinet. I’m working with the “good enough, not perfect” cleaning vibe, so it’s lots of quick wipe-downs, vacuuming out trays, pulling dead leaves, and doing the kind of pruning that instantly makes everything look calmer. I give little updates as I go (new leaves, yellowing leaves I’m finally admitting need to come off, and the usual “why are my Hoyas vining around each other like this?” situation). I also do some real plant chores while I’m in there: I chop back a very unruly begonia (and take water props because I’m switching a lot of my begonias to semi-hydro since they’re so thirsty), untangle and re-clip some Hoyas so they’re less chaotic, and deal with a sketchy mushy cutting that needs attention ASAP. Then I move into the living room window area—cleaning dried Hoya blooms off the floor, scrubbing the sill (fertilizer + sap buildup is so real), and shifting plants around so I can put up the Christmas tree. And then… I do a big, slightly impulsive chop on my Philodendron glorious because it was honestly going to snap anyway. I root the cuttings in jumbo perlite with a couple drops of SuperThrive, and call it a day with a much calmer, fresher planty home.
