Hi! Thought I'd do a video on the TTartisan 40mm f2 with the Lumix S1, as I think it's a great combo! About This Video

I’ve been using the Lumix S1 a lot recently, and considering I bought mine for around $900, I honestly think it’s an amazing camera. The image you can get out of it—especially with 6K open gate—looks really beautiful. But I do have one big gripe: the weight. The S1 is around 1 kilo, and even though it’s “only” about 300 grams heavier than something like the Lumix S5, it really starts to matter when you throw on a heavier lens (especially with an adapter) and you shoot handheld like I do. In this video I talk about why the TTartisan 40mm f/2 is such a good fix for that. It’s tiny, it’s under 200g, and it doesn’t add any significant weight to the setup—so the S1 stays sturdy and comfortable in the hands. Wide open it has a slightly soft, vintage vibe while still being relatively clean, and paired with the S1 it’s a combo that genuinely makes me want to shoot more. I also briefly show the Freewell magnetic VND/CPL and glow mist filters I tested, and why diffusion can help take away some of that clinical digital sharpness.
