About This Video

You guys know I make a lot of videos about playing games on Mac, and honestly my Mac performance was never the problem. The main reason I stopped gaming for about a month was my mouse—Apple Magic Mouse is amazing for everyday stuff, but for gaming it’s one of the worst options. In FPS games it’s hard to aim and shoot at the same time, and the sensitivity just isn’t high enough for precise movement. So in this video, I’m not here to complain—I’m showing you a real alternative that actually makes Mac gaming feel right. I tested the Rapoo VT2 Max, and for around $50 (yeah, basically “two Apple polishing cloth” money), you get a super light 53g wireless gaming mouse with an ergonomic shape that instantly feels more relaxed in my hand. It connects through a 2.4GHz dongle (not Bluetooth—because Bluetooth is not always stable for me), and Rapoo even includes a USB-C adapter in the box for modern MacBooks. The big highlights are up to 8000Hz polling rate even wirelessly, up to 30,000 DPI, onboard DPI buttons behind the scroll wheel, and software that lets you remap buttons (I literally mapped a shortcut to open ChatGPT). Battery is also solid: 800mAh, and up to 750 hours if you drop polling rate to 1000Hz.
