Hey guys, Orlando here with Filmatic. This March update is basically me keeping my promise to drop a video every single week—because I’ve been doing that since January 1st of last year, and I’m not trying to break the streak now. I wanted to give you a quick behind-the-scenes look at what’s been eating up my time lately: I’m deep in post, supervising edits, and overseeing a massive six-figure project. I’m one of the moving parts that helps keep the whole thing on the rails, and when someone drops the ball, I’m the one who picks it up so we can actually get to the finish line. I also talk about how unpredictable production work can be. A pretty big project coming in from the UK—about 24 days—just dropped around March/April, which is wild, but it happens. On top of that, hard drive prices are getting ridiculous right now. SSDs from brands like Samsung and SanDisk have basically doubled, and that’s a real cost increase everyone should plan for this year. The good news: once this project wraps (around March 5th), I’m aiming to jump back into more camera comparisons. I’ve already been working on a C50 vs Komodo comparison, plus more camera testing content that I’m excited to share soon.
