Morning folks… spoiler alert: it’s raining. But if I waited for a decent day at the moment, I’d never get any pictures taken, so I donned the waterproofs and got out anyway. In this video I’m trying to finally get some proper winter kingfisher shots, and the best bit is I don’t have to go on safari for them—this new location is practically on my doorstep. I’d already had my Mini Grouse hide up for a couple of days, used trailcams to work out movement, and then did the usual trick of putting a considered perch out (because the perch is a massive part of the final composition, not an afterthought).
