About This Video

Black Week is still going on for a few days, so in this video I run through the best last-chance Black Friday deals for music producers—and more importantly, how to shop without wasting money. Before we even touch plugins, I talk about the mindset: set a budget and stick to it (don’t spend a single cent more), get the upgrades you actually need first (headphones, a key VST, even a laptop), and remember that the “best deal” isn’t always the best for you if it doesn’t improve your music right now. After that, I break the deals down by category. For software, I show the main places I’d look: Plugin Boutique for the all-in-one account and huge catalog, plus manufacturer sites like Native Instruments and Arturia for upgrade pricing (sometimes even better than the standard 50% off). I also cover Waves, even though I don’t really use their stuff personally, because they’ve got a ton of industry-standard mixing effects and bundle deals. Then I move into sample packs (Sonix Audio, Synth Palace, Jay Cactus) and explain who each brand is best for and which bundles are the best value. Finally, I talk hardware deals by region (Thomann, Sweetwater, Guitar Center, Andertons) and how I verify “real” discounts—plus a quick look at LANDR’s 50% off if you want an all-in-one subscription for distribution, samples, and plugins.
