About This Video

Yo, welcome back — in this video I’m taking you through a pretty big studio upgrade: my new synth/keyboard rack (aka a synth stand). I’m using the Jaspers 170-4-150-19B, which is 150cm wide, about 170cm tall, has four tiers, and even includes a 6U 19-inch rack section. The whole point is stacking synths and gear in a way that’s space-efficient, ergonomic, and honestly just looks dope on camera too — because presentation matters on YouTube/Instagram whether we like it or not. I also talk about the real reasons I went this big even though I mostly make beats in the box and only had one hardware synth before. For me it’s three things: better visuals, a proper place for the gear I already collect, and most importantly a setup I can grow into. The 19-inch rack mount is a huge deal because I can mount my Focusrite 18i20, a patchbay, and future interfaces/MIDI gear right under the synths and keep all the ins/outs controlled without a cable mess. It’s expensive (around €1,000 total with cables, lighting, patchbay, etc.), but the long-term goal is building an analog playground that still integrates tightly with my DAW.
