Kavy just dropped Drum Mastery, so of course I had to check it out. In this review I walk you through exactly what you get: six genre-focused packs (trap, R&B, vintage, experimental, international, and pop) with drum kits, drum loops, perk loops, melody loops, MIDI, fills/transitions, and my favorite part—project templates for all the major DAWs. The whole library is 6,000+ sounds and around 18GB, so I also talk about the practical side (yes, make sure you’ve got the storage) and I demo a bunch of sounds across the different folders so you can hear the vibe for yourself. After the overview, I break down two beats I made with the kit—one using the ATL trap template to show how fast the workflow is when everything is preloaded and premixed, and one experimental beat where I get more surgical (filtering lows out of the sample, using a drum loop + stems, layering snare/clap, distorted 808s, and automating effects for switch-ups). Then I give my honest pros/cons: the drums are top notch and feel way less recycled than some older suites, the templates are genuinely useful, but the included beatmaking course has a lot of knowledge while being structured in a way that’s harder to consume. Finally, I talk pricing ($170, sometimes $100 launch sale) and who should actually buy it—especially if you need to be ready for multiple genres, not just hard trap all day.
