Just to be clear: Omnisphere 3 is a powerful synth and in the week since I've filmed the video I've actually found some really dope presets. I feel like the release was a bit overhyped and possibly not worth a "Generation 3" upgrade, especially with the same old interface. 📈150+ Free Phrases & Melody Layers: https://delvxesounds.com/ 📸Instagram (@prodbysgbeatz): https://www.instagram.com/prodbysgbeatz/ 🌍Website: https://delvxesounds.com/ 📧Email: prodbysgbeatz@gmail.com #flstudio #beats #tutorial #melody #producer

About This Video

In this video I’m unboxing Omnisphere 2 (boxed) and then jumping straight into Omnisphere 3 for my first impressions — and yeah, the whole buying process is part of the story. Spectrasonics sells downloads only on their site, so in Germany the boxed version can be way cheaper. I grabbed the Omnisphere 2 box on discount, used the “free upgrade” instructions, and still had to go back and forth with support for a few days before they finally unlocked Omnisphere 3. Once I’m inside Omnisphere 3, I run through a bunch of the new collections and presets (analog vibes, live instruments, strings, organic effects, warm tones, etc.) and test the new global controls like ambience. Some sounds are definitely dope — the strings and some live-recorded textures are super clean — but overall I didn’t get that “I’ve never heard this before” moment from the factory presets. I also talk about how the browsing experience still feels slow and disappointing, and how the same old interface makes the upgrade feel less “Generation 3” than the hype suggests. I end the video making a quick beat using MIDI, layering sounds, adding drums, and finding an ethnic guitar vibe — but my takeaway is simple: powerful plugin, just an underwhelming first impression, and I’m giving it more time before a final verdict.
