With just 6 months left in 2025 (and my last studio tour being almost 9 months ago), I figured it was time to show you where my homestudio is at right now—and where I want to take it next. My setup is still basically a “studio in my bedroom” situation, but I’ve swapped and added a bunch of gear. I walk you through my custom-built main desk (kitchen countertop cut to size), my keyboard tray with the StudioLogic SL88 Studio, and the biggest change since last time: my audio chain. I moved from the Behringer Monitor2USB to the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 Gen 4, and I upgraded to Adam Audio T8V monitors (which are honestly almost too big for this room). I also show my IsoAcoustics stands, Stream Deck, Behringer X-Touch Compact, and the DIY acoustic panels I built for around $160. Then I break down my “future plans” and why I’m turning this into a little mini-series. Sound-wise, I’m thinking subwoofer (not for “better mixing,” more for fun and feeling the bass) plus something like IK Multimedia ARC to correct the room response since I can’t really fit more treatment. And for my “analog corner,” I want to expand with more synths/pedals—starting with a Behringer DeepMind 12—while figuring out the best layout. I show a few layout options, talk through cable-routing and screen-visibility issues, and I ask you to help me decide what makes the most sense.
