About This Video

In this video I tested the Sivga SV021 Pro Robin and compared it directly to the Fiio FT1, since they’re both wooden closed-backs in a similar price range (roughly $200 vs $150). The Robin is honestly one of the best-looking headphones you can get for the money—Sivga added this glossy finish that makes the beechwood look super premium, and the matching headband + pad color theme just makes it pop. Build feels sturdy with metal reinforcement, but fit adjustment is limited since the cups don’t really pivot, and the included cable is single-ended (I used my own balanced cable for testing). Sound-wise, the Robin has a warm, smooth character with relaxed treble—no peakiness, just a “chill” tuning that you can listen to for hours. Bass is more mid-bass focused and fun, while sub-bass feels a bit rolled off, especially on EDM. Vocals are the highlight: it’s very midrange-forward and voices pop. The FT1 comes off more balanced and more detailed to me, with more treble presence and better staging; for gaming, the FT1’s angled drivers help imaging and directionality, while the Robin still did better than I expected (solid and usable), just with a closer presentation. If you want balanced and detail, I’d pick FT1; if you want smooth, relaxing “permanent tube mode” vibes (and a beautiful wall piece), the Robin is the play.
