In this video I’m checking out the new Yaber L2s home entertainment projector, and I’ll give you a basic overview of the build, what comes in the box, and how it performs in a semi-dark room. In the box you get the power cable, an HDMI cable, a cleaning kit, and the remote (just remember it needs two AAA batteries and they’re not included). The projector itself has some weight to it, and the big highlight is the built-in JBL speakers—one on the left and one on the right—so you get a surprisingly full, surround-style sound. I hooked up a Fire Stick through HDMI and it loads up fast, then I tested both voice and music so you can hear how strong the speakers are even at low volume. I also walk through the main menus: USB playback, iOS/Android wireless mirroring, wired casting (for anyone who has issues with wireless), Bluetooth options, and system settings. The projection settings are where the magic is—projection modes for desktop/ceiling/rear setups, autofocus that kicks in automatically, manual focus if you want to fine-tune, keystone options, and screen scaling so you can size the image to your setup. Overall it’s a simple plug-and-play true 1080p projector, and if you need more HDMI devices, just grab an HDMI switcher.
