In this video I set up the UGreen NASync DXP4800 Plus from start to finish, because I’m building out a home network that I can access while I travel. I unbox it, show you every piece I’m using, and then walk you through the physical install—drives, M.2 SSDs, and RAM—so you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into. I’m running two 2TB WD Black M.2 NVMe SSDs, upgrading the RAM to 32GB DDR5, and loading it up with 16TB 7200RPM Seagate IronWolf-style drives because I’ve got three YouTube channels and I want dedicated storage. Once everything is installed, I go over ports and basics (dual LAN, HDMI, USB, SD card slot, front status lights), plus the small stuff people miss—like the little tray keys and the thermal pads for the SSDs. Then we jump into the software setup: I go to find.ugnas.com to bind the device, format drives, and create a storage pool. I keep it simple with a basic single-drive setup (no backups) just to get moving fast. After that, I show the most important part: the Files section. I create folders, upload a full folder from my computer, and use the task center to track progress, speed, and what the NAS is doing in the background. If you want fast, smooth transfers, I still recommend hardwiring it—wireless can be good, but wired is the move when you want no lag.
