In this video I’m showing you a simple but super clutch gadget: the llano portable camera battery charging power bank (I’m saying it like “Yano,” but you know what I mean). If you’ve ever been out shooting and your camera batteries are dead—like all of them—you already know that panic. I usually carry four batteries, and I’ve still been in those rare situations where I drained everything, especially when you’re dealing with extreme hot or cold weather. That’s exactly where this thing comes in. I took it on a trip (Harbon) and it was honestly amazing. You charge the case via USB-C, and it gives you a percentage readout right on the screen, plus it shows channel one and channel two when you’ve got two batteries in. You drop the batteries in with the spring-loaded slots, give it a few seconds to read them, and it starts charging—if the screen is blank, you just hit the button to wake it up. In my testing, it charged pretty quick (I was seeing around 30 minutes in one real-world test), and it’s built solid with a nice sturdy, almost rubbery feel. Also, it’s got the compliance markings (FCC/CE/CCC), so it’s made to be legit for travel and airlines. I use Sony, but they make versions for other brands too.
