I wasn’t even planning to record at CES this year, but I had to show you guys what I think is a legit travel hack for rental cars (and honestly, a nice upgrade for your own ride too). When you plug your phone into a rental, you’re basically handing over contacts, addresses, and all kinds of personal info. So in this video I’m showing the Ottocast P3 Pro—this small “wallet-sized” box that plugs into your car’s USB and runs like a phone on your car screen. The P3 Pro has eSIM support, plus a physical SIM option, a TF/microSD slot, and even HDMI out, which is wild for something this small. The interface is loaded with widgets, and you still get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but you also get full apps like YouTube, Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, IPTV Smarters Pro, and the Play Store. One of my favorite parts is the split-screen mode—nobody’s really doing it like this—so you can run GPS and YouTube side-by-side and resize either one. I also demo the built-in AI assist. Instead of just sending you to “a” gas station like typical voice assistants, it can actually pull up options when you ask for the cheapest gas near you. If you travel a lot, this is the kind of plug-and-go device that keeps your phone out of the car while still giving you the full smart experience.
