If you’ve been into Warhammer for as long as I have, you don’t just collect plastic and an alarming amount of Horus Heresy knowledge—you collect stories. In this video I go full Mythbusters mode on Games Workshop conspiracy theories and urban legends you lot sent me, with the important disclaimer that most of this is unconfirmed and you should take it all with a generous pinch of high quality salt. Still, some of these “surely not” rumors are way more believable than they have any right to be. I dig into the big ones: whether GW leaks products on purpose (I don’t buy it, and I explain why from my own marketing experience), whether smaller games get sidelined in favor of 40k/AoS (my experience was… a bit suspicious), and the eternal “paint pots are bad on purpose” theory (I think it’s just a not-great design they’re married to). I also talk about Heavy Metal painters sometimes using non-GW paints (which can be true), the alleged Disney/Marvel name-change situation with Malekith/Malarion (I think it adds up), and the “daemons leaving 40k” rumor (I’m very doubtful). Then we get into the truly unhinged stuff: the unreleased lewd Beastmen (unfortunately extremely real), the Warhammer World Rhino actually being driveable (also real), Chaos Dwarf big hats being malicious compliance (100% true), and the semi-true tale of OG Nagash’s face. Hobby chaos, corporate weirdness, and a few genuine nuggets of truth—lovely.
