I’ve got a little secret hobby I’ve never really shared on the channel: I’m a fully grown adult who is still absolutely obsessed with toys. And if you were a ‘90s kid like me, you already know where this is going—Polly Pocket was basically the perfect tiny-world playset… and I’ve had a tangible void in my soul ever since. So I finally made the cursed-but-glorious mashup I’ve been daydreaming about for years: a pocket-sized Warhammer playset. For the base, I went for Polly’s more “Warhammerry” sibling: a 1992 Mighty Max Wolf Ship I found on eBay. Then I used Legion Imperialis bits, panels, skull banners (obviously), little wires (shout out to little wires), and a frankly unhinged amount of planning to convert the interior into a 30k Space Wolves battle barge vibe—complete with a cozy fire pit shrine room, glowy control panels, and my favourite conversion: an epic-scale dreadnought casually sitting in an armchair like he’s having a post-battle dad nap. Painting-wise, I leaned hard into warm metallics, grime, and saturated glowy reds/greens/blues inspired by Space Marine 2, Rogue Trader, Heresy descriptions, and classic Mike McVey dioramas. I also forced myself to paint faster and looser than my usual tryhard epic-scale brain allows—and honestly, it made the whole project way more fun. In the end, it’s nostalgia, chaos, and grimdark all wrapped up in a tiny snap-shut trinket box.
