Rogue Hobbies is officially one year old, and this video is me popping in for a quick, slightly emotional celebration (with the usual hobby chaos sprinkled on top). I’m trying to articulate a bunch of big feelings, but the headline is simple: thank you—yes, you watching—for being here. On the day I launched the channel, I was a wet, anxious puddle of a human. I’d just left what I thought was my forever dream job at Games Workshop, and I genuinely believed no one would care about my weird little hobby channel or what I had to say. Fast forward a year and it’s wild. I’ve made brand new friends, found new ways to shout loudly about my love for miniature painting, and built a YouTube channel full of weird little videos I made purely because they made me happy. I’ve also got a Patreon full of painting tutorials I’m really proud of, plus an entire miniature range—none of which happens without you lot showing up, commenting, and going along with my nonsense. The best thing I’ve grown this year isn’t just the channel—it’s my confidence, and I’m beyond grateful. Year two has massive plans (including for Rascal Town), and I can’t wait to share them.
