You might be here for Warhammer and mini painting, but I’ve got way too many hobbies for that to be the whole story—and Dungeons & Dragons is one I love with all of my heart. In this video I crack open what I genuinely think is the coolest D&D thing I’ve ever seen: the absolutely monstrous LEGO Dungeons & Dragons set made for the 50th anniversary. I walk you through what you’re actually getting (3,745 pieces, 32 bags, multiple build booklets, and a display/play build that splits into the tavern, outdoor area, dungeon, and the big tower), how long it took me (about 15 hours over 3 days), and why it’s intimidating… but also ridiculously fun. Then we get into the real magic: the set isn’t just a build, it’s basically storytime. I introduce the heroes (yes, the orc rogue is mine—shotgun) and I spoil-rundown the free “Red Dragon’s Tale” adventure you can download from D&D Beyond, including the mimic, the secret dungeon entrance, oozy black puddings, my beloved gelatinous cubes, the evil wizard reveal, and the final double boss chaos with Cinderhowl. On top of that, I point out the hidden details and Easter eggs you only notice while building—tiny potions everywhere, veggie crates, a weird gem you can’t remove, and loads of tavern flavor—ending with that huge brick-built dragon that made my hands hurt… but was absolutely worth it.
