As a long time fan of Warhammer and building Miniatures I thought that I knew what made an 'excellent model kit' ... well it turns out that I was wrong. I recently managed to get my hands on the ULTIMATE Gundam kit, The RX-78-2 Perfect grade UNLEASHED and trust me when I say it absolutely blew my expectations out of the water! From the size, the articulation and even the LED components included in the kit, this has been one of the most insane 'miniatures' I have even set about completing. So in this video I am going to give you a full and detailed run down of the ENTIRE experience from the unboxing, the build itself to my final thoughts at the end, so you too can get a little taste of this absolute LEGEND of a Gundam kit! ___________ CHAPTERS: 00:00 - Intro! 02:23 - The Backstory... 04:33 - Unboxing! 08:00 - Phase 1 (and also 2) 11:45 - Phase 3 15:29 - Accessories 17:19 - Stickers? 19:16 - LIGHTS! 22:02 - FINAL RESULTS (And final thoughts!) ______ For business enquiries please contact me at roguehobbies1@gmail.com Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/roguehobbies Merch and miniatures! - https://roguehobbies.com/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@roguehobbies

About This Video

In this video I finally tackle what I can only describe as Gunpla’s Warlord Titan: the RX-78-2 Perfect Grade UNLEASHED. I go through the whole experience from the absolutely ridiculous unboxing (this thing is a whopper with a literal briefcase handle) to the five-phase build system that walks you through the suit like it’s a real machine—skeleton first, then the metallic truss frame, then the armor, decals, and finally the “play with your toy” effects phase. I also explain how I ended up paying 0 pennies for it because I accidentally won it at a Bandai UK creator meetup painting comp, which still feels unreal. Build-wise, I cover what blew my mind: the instructions and runner layout that basically hold your hand, the push-fit engineering with zero glue, the insane articulation (working pistons!), and the peekaboo hatches everywhere once the armor’s on. I’m also very honest about the time commitment—two full days just for the inner frame if you’re as picky as me with nub cleanup—and my skepticism about stickers… which this kit actually won me over on. Then we get into the LEDs (batteries not included for the body), the slightly clunky chest-hatch activation, and why the final result absolutely slaps: 9/10 for build fun, 8/10 for poseability (watch that heavy top half), 10/10 for aura, and 9/10 for extra gimmicks.
