Join us on Rascaltown's first ever journey outside of the studio! A week ago we went to Salute 2024, the BIGGEST single day Wargaming event in Europe, not to hang out or play Warhammer and have fun, but to set up a stall and finally bring Rogue Hobbies and Rascaltown to the people for the very first time! Since its creation 8 months ago my miniature range Rascaltown has felt like a fever dream, and setting up a stall and figuring out how to make our little home business work in real life was a huge challenge! But maybe the biggest surprise of all was seeing for myself just how popular Rascaltown seems to be... CHAPTERS! 00:00 - Intro 01:36 - A Brief History of Rascaltown 03:44 - What is Salute? About This Video

Do you remember when I made that dumb little video where I designed a cute fishing goblin, did some sweet rustic handmade packaging, and called it a day? Yeah… turns out you lot are absolute menaces, because that one miniature escalated into Rascaltown becoming a fully-fledged miniature company. In this video I take you with me (and the team) to Salute 2024—the biggest one-day wargaming event in Europe—where we set up our first ever Rogue Hobbies x Rascaltown stall and tried to see if our little home business could survive in the real world. I was properly nervous, because Salute is massive and, honestly, very un-Warhammer—loads of historical wargaming—and I had this paranoid fear that my colourful, cartoonish goblins would get judged for being too whimsical. So we went hard on making the stall look professional: banners, flyers, huge display boxes, and Tom’s wildly ambitious life-size fishing goblin. We also surprise-dropped a brand new miniature: RH4, the Pirate Goblin, with a free STL and a giant scenic Kraken base. Then the doors opened… and we got mobbed. A queue all day. Hundreds of goblins brought along, and we ended with about nine left. Between the sold-out documentary screenings, the panel nerves, and seeing kids (and competition painters!) genuinely excited about something I designed, Salute gave me the kick up the backside I needed: Rascaltown is real, and I’ve got a responsibility to grow it properly.
