About This Video

In this PC tutorial, I show you exactly how to turn Memory Saver on or off in the Brave web browser on a Windows desktop. If Brave is chewing up RAM with a bunch of tabs open, Memory Saver is the setting that helps by putting inactive tabs to sleep so your active tabs (and your other apps) get more resources and the browser stays fast. I walk you straight to the setting: open Brave, hit the three-bar menu in the upper-right, go to Settings, then use the left-side pane to click System. From there, scroll down to the Memory section and you’ll see the Memory Saver toggle. Flip it on to enable it (and you can pick Moderate, Balanced, or Maximum), or flip it off to disable it. I also point out the “Always keep these sites active” option, so if you’ve got a site you never want Brave to sleep, you can add it there and keep it running.
