About This Video

In this tutorial I show you how to take screenshots in the Opera GX web browser on a Windows PC using Opera’s built-in Snapshot tool. I keep it quick and practical: where the Snapshot button is, what each capture option does, and how to grab exactly what you need without installing anything extra. First method is the fastest—go to the right side of the address bar and click the dotted square icon that literally says “Snapshot” when you hover over it. From there you can capture the visible page (what you’re currently seeing), capture a full page (great for long pages—scroll to the bottom first so Opera reads the whole thing), or drag out a custom box to capture only a specific area. After you drag your selection, you can cancel, copy it to your clipboard with “Copy and close,” or hit “Capture” to save it. I also show the second way to get to Snapshot: click the red “O” menu in the upper-left and choose Snapshot from the list. And if you want to move fast, I point out the keyboard shortcut on Windows: Ctrl + Shift + 5. Bonus: Snapshot can also save the webpage as a PDF—pick a name, choose a save location, and you’re done.
