About This Video

In this video I show you how to enable or disable startup apps in Windows 10, so you can cut down on junk launching in the background the second your PC boots. If your computer feels slow right after startup, this is one of the first places I check. I keep it simple and no-fluff, and I walk you through two different ways to manage what runs when Windows starts. First, I jump into the quickest method: right-click an empty spot on the taskbar, open Task Manager, and go straight to the Startup tab. From there you can see which apps are enabled or disabled, then just right-click an app (like Canva in my example) and choose Enable or Disable. After that, I show the Settings method: right-click the Start icon, open Settings, go to Apps, then Startup, and use the on/off toggles for each app. Either way, you’re in control of what launches at boot, and you can clean up startup in a couple of minutes.
