About This Video

In this PC tutorial, I show you how to disable tab grouping in the Vivaldi web browser—Vivaldi calls it “tab stacking.” If you’re like me and you always have a lot of tabs open (and you’re constantly dragging them around), it’s really easy to accidentally stack two tabs together. You’ll see the tab highlight blue, and that’s your warning that Vivaldi is about to group them. I walk you straight to the exact setting you need: click the V logo in the upper-left, go to Settings (or use the shortcut Ctrl + F12), then click Tabs on the left. Scroll down to the Tab Stacking section and choose Disable. Once you close Settings, your tabs won’t stack together anymore, which makes your tab bar behave more like a traditional browser layout and keeps things simple when you’re moving tabs around.
