In this video I share my honest first ride impression of the Royal Enfield Bear 650, and I tested it properly in three phases—city traffic, highway cruising, and a small off-road patch (not a pure trail, but enough humps and muddy sections to understand the bike). I’ve been riding since 2010 and Royal Enfield since 2014 (Classic 350 → Himalayan 411 → Himalayan 450), plus my cousins own the GT 650 and Interceptor 650—so I can clearly feel what has improved in this new 650 scrambler-style machine. In the city, even though it’s a 216 kg bike, the weight distribution feels smooth and the turning radius is noticeably better than the older Interceptor 650. On the highway, I didn’t do top-speed runs (I don’t encourage speeding), but I checked stability, braking, and vibrations. The bike is a powerhouse with linear power delivery, braking is strong without that “jerk” feeling, and the front-end wobble I used to feel on older 650s was not there. What I didn’t like: the seat started hurting my butt cheeks after around 1 to 1.5 hours, and the rear suspension felt stiff—bad road hits were going straight to my tailbone. For tall riders (I’m 6 ft), I feel a handlebar riser and some aftermarket comfort mods are almost mandatory.
