When you think about Honda in the two-wheeler segment, for me the first words are reliability, performance, comfort and durability. In this video I took the Honda NX500 out for a proper 30–35 minute ride on the highway to understand its real character—because for me, first and foremost, a bike should be a pleasure to yourself, not to others. I focused on the basics that matter on long rides: seating posture, seat comfort, handlebar ergonomics, and how confidence-inspiring the bike feels while cornering and doing U-turns. On the move, what I liked most is the linear power delivery (very Honda-like). Even at low RPM the bike pulls cleanly—no engine knock—so it doesn’t scare the rider, it builds confidence. The 196 kg weight is well balanced and honestly it didn’t feel heavy while riding. I also loved the 5-inch TFT cockpit, the exhaust note, and I was genuinely shocked by the braking power. But I’m also clear: at around 7 lakhs on-road, Honda should have offered more—riding modes, cruise control, and a quickshifter. Finally, I explain where the NX500 fits: it’s excellent for touring and adventure touring, and you can do partial off-roading, but it’s not meant for complete off-road abuse. The single-unit frame (no subframe) and the overall setup mean you should understand the limits before choosing it for hardcore trails.
