About This Video

In this episode of the school studio build, I’m back in the room finishing the window wall the right way—clearing out the opening, widening it a bit so the fit is clean, and then framing everything out so the panels sit solid. I’m trying to keep the mess and dust down (I did one side first for that reason), but once you start cutting and fitting, it kind of is what it is. The main goal for the day was simple: get the “glass” up—polycarbonate panels—and make the wall look finished with trim. Over a couple days, I dial in the details: pine trim edges, a middle and top run to keep it from looking like a random strip, and touch-ups where my cuts weren’t perfect. I ran out of wood because I didn’t measure like I should’ve (oops), but we got it handled and kept pushing. Once the polycarbonate is in, you can immediately feel the room change—less echo, better vibe—and the black base accent with the pine is going to give it that modern pop. Construction wraps with cleanup, plastic coming down, and now I’m waiting on acoustic treatment delivery so we can start building out the booth before the kids come back next week.
