About This Video

What’s going on good people? In this one I’m wrapping up our custom closet makeover—taking an empty, basic room off the master and turning it into a full-on “girl room” with personality. Real talk: I lost some of the build footage (I’ve been hunting for it all week), but I’ve still got the before, the “prefinish,” and the final reveal so you can see exactly how the space came together. We started by ripping out the carpet, I laid the new flooring, and we had a painter come through to knock out the walls and trim so the room felt clean and finished. From there it was all about the details and function. D picked out the knobs (they jazz it up like crazy), found the “Hello Gorgeous” sign, and brought the whole vibe together with the chandelier and styling. On my side, I focused on making it look built-in and intentional—covering up the ugly bits with a grass cloth board and dialing in the smart home side. I even set up automation so when you walk in, the closet lights and carcass lighting pop on, and when you leave, everything shuts off. End result: a cozy space that holds a ton, looks super clean, and honestly gets compliments every time I show it.
