About This Video

What’s going on, good people—Ebbs here, Mr. RemoteLife. This one is a quick and short update, but I’m being real with you: I never finished this closet project, and that wall has been neglected for over a year. I’ve been buried in other builds (including a major one I’m working on right now), but I’m tired of looking at this half-done setup and I’m ready to get it finished so I can put the door back up and finally paint this room. In this video I walk through what I originally planned—amp hookups with Ethernet and HDMI in the wall, plus a control unit for fan ventilation because I’ll be housing electronics in here. The big move is relocating my UniFi Dream Wall into this closet so I can route cables cleanly and protect the runs with a plate. Now I’m stuck between going with a slat wall system or drywalling it and building out custom shelving with LED lighting, because I don’t want to rely on the basic closet light every time I pop in here. The main takeaway: I want this space to be different, but functional—storage for parts, cleaner cable management, and a sleek, slimline tech setup where the technology is there… but you don’t have to see it. I’m asking you to help me decide—drop ideas in the comments and hit my Instagram poll (@mrremotelife).
