About This Video

In this Vlogmas Day 19 vlog, I’m bringing you along for a realistic slow winter night routine + morning routine as a cozy employed/self-employed girlie who’s trying to fully embrace being a morning person (without pretending I wake up at 5 a.m. and conquer the world). I show you how my mornings actually start the night before: wrapping up work, heading out for a mid-week dinner date night, then coming home to cozy clothes, mindless chores (like folding laundry), and setting myself up for an easier, more ā€œdecisionlessā€ morning by picking out what I’m wearing. I talk a lot about why I prioritize sleep so aggressively—because if I don’t get my full 8–9 hours, I’m literally a different person and no amount of matcha can fix it. I also share how I’ve been intentionally swapping late-night scrolling for reading fiction (non-fiction gets my brain churning too much), and why I try to keep nights ā€œcut offā€ after dinner when I can. In the morning, it’s matcha in my December mug, a cozy Friday vibe, and my biggest mindset shift: I’d rather wake up later and feel rested than wake up early and be sleep deprived. My routines are simple on purpose—less steps, more time for the things that actually make me feel like myself.
