In this vlog I’m packing orders from my spring launch (plus a few weekend orders) and chatting through what entrepreneurship is REALLY like—aka the best part and the worst part is that everything is up to you. I’m still low-key obsessed with my updated packaging (my graphic designer absolutely ate with the pattern), and I’m finally living my “legit business” era because I transitioned from made-to-order to made-to-stock. That means I can ship way faster (like two business days for launch orders), which honestly still shocks me considering I used to run on chaotic two-week processing times. I also talk about “needle movers” vs. essential daily tasks—packing orders matters, but it’s not the thing that magically turns a six-figure business into a seven-figure business. For me, needle movers look like improving packaging, learning the business mindset, and especially email marketing. I share why I use Brevo for email (and eventually SMS) because it’s simple, customizable, and gives me analytics so I’m not guessing. And then, real life happens: my sewing machine breaks (because yes, I never serviced it—shame on me), so I’m forced into problem-solving mode. That’s entrepreneurship too: being IN control and OUT of control at the same time, making the errand fun anyway, and remembering to take care of myself because if I’m not okay, the business isn’t okay either.
